On Sep 6, 2019 we attended the opening of the Mui Ho Fine Arts Library on the Cornell Campus in Itaica New York. Rand Hall, the brick factory-like building remodeled into the library by architect Wolfgang Tschapeller, had housed Mui's architecture studios during her student years in the 60's, and the preservation of the building was much more to her than just a name above the door. In addition to its storage function it has quickly become (perhaps because of the rabbit hole entry into the grander of its space) one of the more sought after study rooms on campus. While physical libraries have become anachronistic in the digital age, the place of the library as the center of a proper education remains.
